Welcome to the interdisciplinary world of Océane Saddul, an American-Mauritian visual artist and aspiring physician whose journey bridges the worlds of art, science, and medicine.
A lifelong creative, Océane spent years exploring a variety of artistic mediums, exhibiting her work and completing commissioned projects for private clients. She began her undergraduate studies in Medical Illustration at the Rochester Institute of Technology before transferring to Dartmouth College, where she is pursuing a degree in Neuroscience.
While her academic path has shifted from illustrating medicine to practicing it, art remains central to her identity. Alongside her studies, she has gained clinical and research experience in both Mauritius and the United States, including training at C-Care Wellkin Hospital and C-Lab, renal cancer research at Harvard Medical School and Brigham and Women’s Hospital, and ongoing biomedical research at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center.
Through her work, Océane continues to explore the meaningful connections between creativity and medicine, demonstrating that the skills cultivated by the artist and the physician are often more alike than they first appear.
